4th December 1918 - Private "Dick" Knight of Windsor Road Evesham has died in France

War Front:

2nd Batt: HM the King passed the Batt on his way through the village of Clary. Capt. Baldwyn proceeded on leave to the UK.

3rd Batt: Demobilisation began with coal miners and other pivotal men being dispatched to England and this continued throughout the month.

4th Batt: Batt moved from Aywaille to La Reid, which was 9 kms. The transport was brigaded and marched in the rear of the Brigade owing to the hills.

14th Batt: There were Coy parades under their own arrangements. 2Lt WH Southall, 2Lt S Couves and 2Lt E Lysons joined the Batt from leave.

Home Front:

Private "Dick" Knight of Windsor Road Evesham has died in France from influenza and bronchial pneumonia. He joined 1st Battalion Worcestershire regiment and was wounded at Neuve Chapelle. He was a prominent local footballer at Evesham United.
