1st December 1918 - Allied troops enter Germany

War Front:

1st Batt: Batt billeted in Tournai, supplying the guard to 3rd Corps.

2nd Batt: Church Parade held at 0900 hours under the Rev EV Tanner, MC. The CO returned from specialist training near Amiens.

3rd Batt: Batt at Fiennesvillers training and playing a great deal of football.

4th Batt: Batt moved to Aywaille via Comblain, a distance of 24 kms, halting at 12.30 hours for tea ration.

14th Batt: There was divine service under the CO at 08.30 hours. Coys had kit inspections.

Home Front:

Midland Drapery Company Ltd – Xmas Bazaar – Now open with well assorted stock of gifts in all departments – High Street – Worcester.

General Election Campaign Opened:

City Member Sir Edward Goulding addressed a large meeting at the Weslyan Mission hall on Wylds Lane, Worcester. The Bewdley Division Conservative and Unionist Association adopted Mr Stanley Baldwin as their candidate. Commander Eyres Monsell was welcomed to Evesham and praised for his service in the Fleet. JW Wilson, the Liberal in Stourbridge, claimed to be the only true Coalition Candidate.
