Pigeon Liberation
23rd August 2014 at Kidderminster Town Centre
KAF has been working it Midlands National Flying Club to create a unique tribute to those who lost their lives in WW1 and to the pigeons who played a vital role in communications during the war.
Such was the importance of pigeons that over 100,000 were used in the war with an astonishing success rate of 95% getting through to their destination with their message, much more reliable than any other form of communication at the time.
Our pigeons will be released carrying your messages back to their homes. To find our how you can send a message look on our website or visit the Chapel of Victories in the Town Hall for more information.
They will be released outside Clarks on Weavers Wharf.
