"""Droitwich Flyers"" is a fascinating exhibition about the lives of three Droitwich men who served and died as pilots during the First World War. Discover the stories of 2nd Lieutenant William Boyle Power who joined the Royal Flying Corps in 1912 and went on to become a flying instructor whose pupils included James McCudden VC; of 2nd Lieutenant Bernard Percival Bartlam Harrison R.F.C., the son of a local blacksmith, and that of Lieutenant Alan Vivian Lewis, who flew with the Royal Naval Air Service and later the fledgling Royal Air Force before his tragic death.
The exhibition also includes replica artefacts, a range of books to borrow covering aerial warfare during the First World War and much more. Located on the First Floor of Droitwich Library in the Local History Area, entry is free on days the Library is open; see the website link for more details."
