The Trench Choir presents two musical histories of World War One

1st July 2017

The Trench Choir presents two musical histories of World War One on Tuesday 4 July at 8pm at Clarence Park Community Hall, Malvern.

The concert is in two parts, the first 'Women's Work' covers songs about the role and work of women in World War One. The songs both acknowledge and question the stereotypes of women during the Great War.

The second part, 'America Goes to War: 1917' commemorates the American entry into the war in 1917. This section includes a number of lesser known and some popular American songs charting the move from pacifism and non-involvement into full fledged support and enthusiasm for the war.

The concert takes place at Clarence Park Community Hall, 415 Worcester Road, Malvern, WR14 1AS on Tuesday 4 July at 8pm. The event coincides with American Independence Day.

Donations are welcome on the evening and further information will be available via 07837735188.
