Testimony of eleven military veterans of the Second World War who lived in Worcestershire in 2013. Discover the extraordinary activities these elderly citizens undertook while in uniform.

Tickets £2.50 - All ticket money will be donated to the Royal British Legion.

Silence followed by Poppy Drop

11am / 11.02am, atrium at The Hive

To mark the end of World War One and of World War Two, poppies made by children from local schools at The Hive will be dropped in the atrium.

10am – 11.30noon; 1.30pm - 4pm, The Hub at The Hive

Share your family World War One artefacts, stories and memorabilia with members of the Worcestershire World War One Hundred team.

World War One Bell Tent, atrium at The Hive

10am – 4pm

Join Discover History and their VAD Nurse and World War One Soldier as they bring the stories of World War One to life.

Storytelling – Flo of the Somme

10am in the Children’s Library.

A focus on War Poetry and animals in World War One.

Poetry Workshop with Fergus the Poet

10am – 12noon – Oasis Room

2pm – 4pm – The Studio

Create and perform your own World War One themed with Fergus the Poet.

FILM: Battle of the Somme

12.30pm & 4.30pm, The Studio

UNESCO listed film The Battle of the Somme. Released by the Imperial War Museum, The Battle of the Somme was originally shot and screened in 1916, the first feature length documentary about war which changed the way both cinema and film were perceived by the public.
