Worcestershire And The War – Mr John Kent’s Appeal – “Any working men or women about?” asked Mr John Kent, at Worcester Cross on Saturday afternoon. A crowd soon collected. “Of course we are all working men and women today” said he “and if we not – providing we are able – ought to be asphyxiated or shot out of the way and make more room for the energetic ones, for unless we all do our best to the utmost limit of our strength and ability we are more or less assisting the enemy”.
