6th April 1917 - United States of America declares war on Germany and sides with the Allies

War Front: 2Nd Batt: Day spent in cleaning up and inspections.
2/7th Batt; Relieved the 2/4th Glos at Marteville.
2/8th Batt@ Batt attached to Hill 120 with 2i/2 Coys and was successful on the right flank but the left hand flank drew back.
4th Batt: Church parade at 10am. Rain all day.
9th Batt: Batt detailed as rear guard and marched to Kuman Reach and camped there.
10th Batt: Batt had Squad Drill at 7am and then platoon training.
SMD RFA: A house in Epehy, used by 241 Brigade as an outpost ,was hit and 1 man was badly wounded.
