WORCESTERS SATISFACTORY CANVASS - All expectations exceeded

The canvassing sub-committee report on the recruiting figures to date was highly satisfactory. It was pointed out that Worcester had already contributed more than the estimated proportion according to the population, and it was believed that the final figures would exceed all expectations.

The number of single men who had given unfavourable answers to the canvassers was extremely few.
