LECTURE IN AID OF WORCESTER INFIRMARY

At the Theatre Royal, Worcester, on Tuesday afternoon, Sir Whitworth Wallis gave a lecture of unusual interest on the Royal Picture Collections at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, and it was attended by a large audience, including a number of wounded soldiers. Mr. Bruce Ward was instrumental in inducing Sir Whitworth Wallis to give the lecture, and the Mayoress (Mrs. Hubert Leicester) and a company of ladies (to whom Mrs. Ernest Day acted as Secretary) made the necessary arrangements; and as Mr. Carlton kindly gave the use of the Theatre, a profit of no less than £90 was obtained for Worcester Infirmary.
