5th November 1915 - Recruitment to County Regiment urged by local authorities

Rolling Casualty Count: 2536

2nd Batt: Orders received to put up Artillery Observation boards behind front line. German snipers very active at night.

10th Batt: Relieved and sent to billets in Le Hamel.

4th and 9th Batt: In Gallipoli there is little activity and little loss from shelling. Troops feel cut off from civilization and there are no comfortable billets. As weather changed there is much sickness in the trenches. Water and fresh food is scarce.
