Anti- vivisectionists protest. Believing it is necessary to pursue a humane movement in spite of the war, members of the Worcester branch of the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection met at the Tudor Coffee House, when Mrs Lilla C Pratt gave an address. 'Our work is to make people understand what vivisection means. We have almost to force upon people's minds the cruelties that are sheltered under the general name of 'scientific research' and done behind the veil of the physical laboratory. We must not shrink from exposing it.
