Lord Hampton assumes command of D Squadron since Major Lyttelton promoted to second in command of the Yeomanry Regiment. Time further spent in digging in.

Daniel Hall lately living in Kempsey was charged with providing false information on the register under the Aliens restriction Order. He described himself as a Britisher. The prisoner sadi his father told him he was born in Bombay but another document said Jaffa and another, Austria. A letter of support from a previous employer who had ran steamers carrying fruit from Jaffa to Liverpool said his father was an Austrian Pole living in Abyssinia and married to an Abyssinian woman. Daniel went to school in America and was naturalised there. His wife is Austrian. Hall was sentenced to imprisonment but owing to him being in jail for the past 3 weeks, there was no hard labour attached to the sentence. Hall had been working in a gang at Kempsey hay baling for the Government.
