Ex Non-Coms Wanted: All ex-warrant and non-commissioned officers belonging to the National Reserve are urgently wanted for duty as instructors to the new armies. Those who were members of the National Reserve before 11th August, 1914, will, if accepted, be granted a bounty of £10. All those who are willing to serve for general service with infantry battalions should send their names to Major Reddie, 16 Silver Street;

Interesting Ceremony in Worcester: An interesting ceremony took place in the College Yard, near the doorway of the Cathedral, on Saturday afternoon, when the second R.A.O.B. motor ambulance visited the city, in recognition of the support given in Worcester to the Society’s Fund for providing motor ambulances. The first car provided by the Buffaloes is already out at the front. The second car cost £500, of which Worcester subscribed £57, part of the proceeds of the recent concert, which is the largest sum given by any provincial lodge. The ambulance is one of the latest type of Sunbeam chassis, with 16hp engine and extra long 11ft 4in wheel base. It has Welland dual rim wheels with twin tyres on back, and is painted in the new service colour of green-grey with the red cross prominently displayed on top of the vehicle as well as sides. It takes four stretcher or 12 sitting cases. A man can walk upright in the car….;

Voluntary Aid Detachment: Details of orders for the week ending 30th May: Monday May 24 – No parade. Thursday, May 27th – Parade at Shirehall at 8 o’clock prompt for Bearer Company drill. Instruction in treatment of fractures. Under Medical Officer.
