Fish: Jack Thompson begs to inform the Inhabitants of Worcestesr that he has taken to the Old Established Business of E. Jones, 43, The Shambles, which he will open with a Fresh Supply of FISH Daily, on Wednesday, February 10th. Town or Country Orders promptly attended to. The Noted Shop for Bloaters. Fish sent to any part of the city;

Mr Henry Fawcett, President of the National Union of Women’s Suffrage Societies, addressed a meeting of the Worcester Branch in the Trinity Hall on “Women and the War.” A large number of members were present, under the presidency of Mrs. Moore-Ede, who was supported by Mrs. Fawcett and Mrs. Wilson. Introducing the speaker, the Chairman said the outlook on most questions had been completely changed by the War. Women had been called upon to play a not unimportant part, and in this was their opportunity. The organisation had established workrooms for women thrown out of employment by the War, and in other ways. One of the most important works they had undertaken was the provision of hospitals for our wounded soldiers and those of our Allies;

The Guildhall Recruiting Campaign: In connection with the Worcester Recruiting Campaign for the Regular Army, a meeting was held at the Picture House, Upton-on-Severn, when the special Army film was shown, and Cptn. L.H. Green and Mr. J. Kent addressed the audience. Fourteen recruits were obtained. To-night the film will be shown in Castlemorton. The shopkeepers of Upton-on-Severn gave a splendid simultaneous window display, and tomorrow a similar display will be made at Pershore and Droitwich. Fourteen recruits were accepted at Worcester on Tuesday. There were a large number at the office this morning.
