The iconic Royal Albert Hall, London...

Introduced by international best-selling author Kate Mosse OBE.

Young singers from four of the principal countries involved in the First World War come together in a spirit of peace and reconciliation to make their own special contribution to the commemorations taking place.

- 600 young voices from England, Flanders, France and Germany make up the specially-formed Centenary Chorus

- together with the magnificent Philharmonia Orchestra they will perform Karl Jenkins's powerful and moving work: The Armed Man - a Mass for Peace

- 300 of the young people involved come from Worcestershire. (10 of the county's state secondary schools have been taking part in Sing UK's project leading to this event since January of this year).

Worcestershire's young people have such a strong presence in the Centenary Chorus because of the work Sing UK has been doing with secondary schools in the county over the last 5 years, building a vibrant choral-singing culture with hundreds of teenagers, thereby encouraging future generations of choral singers.

Some have never done any singing before at all! Sing UK has a commitment to providing high quality, accessible and inclusive opportunities with high expectations of our young people - which they rise to, time after time.
