Norton Community Games

Local residents in Norton and outlying villages are set to embrace the Olympic spirit and stage their very own Norton Community Games 2015.
The Games provide a wonderful opportunity for people from our communities to come together to celebrate the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This event offers something for everyone no matter what their ability, skill level or age. The types of different activities; including Arts, Sports and fun hence no one will miss out an enjoyable day. This year's event kicks off at 11am to 5pm on Sunday 21st June 2015, the normal attendance is over 1000 people.
The day unfolds with a school children's Torch Relay setting the theme. In a sports arena there are a range of activities including; Schools athletics competition, Tug of War, local Dance Troup and circus skills workshop.
Across the large field there are many attraction; Sub Aqua Diving pool, Golf coaching, 4 massive inflatable's, Armed Forces memorabilia demonstrations. The Worcestershire Regiment are competing with the local Norton Shooting Club team in a competition. Also, Football shots in competition, try it session in Air Rifle shooting and Archery. There are varieties of Arts and craft stalls for creative activities. We finish with a pyrotechnic firework display, which is new and exciting.
The organisers have raised some funds from local businesses which mean all rides are at a minimum cost.
